Skweezer Records Seventh Consecutive Quarter of Growth

Skweezer, Inc. achieves profitability as mobile advertising continues to gain momentum.

IRVINE, Calif., January 26, 2009—Skweezer, Inc., today announced that the company experienced its seventh consecutive quarter of growth and its first quarter of profitability in the fourth quarter of 2008.

The company’s steady growth, despite the troubled economic climate, can be attributed to increased earnings from its Skweezer Ads mobile advertising product. Skweezer Ads offers several different ad distribution formats, such as banner ads and contextual text-based ads, however its sponsored mobile search results generated the majority of revenue during Q408. Another factor in the company’s growth was a rising cost-per-click rate (the amount of revenue generated when an ad is clicked), which nearly doubled over the course of 2008.

“Advertisers and content publishers are embracing the mobile Web as a channel to connect to potential customers,” said Mark Sieve, president of Skweezer. “Skweezer Ads is a proven, successful mobile advertising platform that we believe will continue to increase the company’s earnings as mobile advertising becomes more widely adopted.”

Skweezer Ads is an online advertising service that supplies both desktop and mobile ads in a single ad feed, automatically displaying the correct type of ad to each visitor. Skweezer Ads customers have the added benefit of being able to use Skweezer’s mobilization technology to automatically create a mobile version of their Web site, which is dynamically created whenever a mobile visitor is detected.

Skweezer Ads is the world’s first internationally-consumed mobile advertising service, having served mobile ads in over 175 countries since its release in 2004, and was voted Best Mobile Marketing Product in the 2006 and 2007 Mobile Star Awards.

About Greenlight Wireless’ Founders:
Kevin Perkins and Mark Sieve founded Greenlight Wireless in the nascent mobile Internet industry of 2001. Many innovations that have since become standard features in the mobile browsing world were first developed at Greenlight Wireless under the management of Perkins and Sieve, including the first:

– Portal-based transcoding engine: Skweezer (2003)
– Globally distributed mobile ad platform: Advertizer (2004)
– Pagination system that splits large Web pages up for viewing on cell phones (2005)
– Mobile Web page translation feature (2005)
– Portal-based mobile RSS reader (2005)
– “Find in page” search that carries Web search keywords into search result pages (2007)

Greenlight Wireless has grown to provide services to customers in over 175 countries and supplies white-label transcoding and advertising solutions to some of the largest wireless operators, search engines, and ad networks in the world. Kevin Perkins and Mark Sieve have, through their years at the helm Greenlight Wireless, helped shape the way that mobile data and mobile advertising services are delivered and consumed across the industry.

Greenlight Wireless Releases New Ad Mobilization Technology

Advertizer now dynamically adapts text-based ads to conform to MMA standards.

IRVINE, Calif., October 1, 2007— Greenlight Wireless today announced a new, patent-pending technology that reformats the presentation of text-based ads created for the desktop to conform to Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) standards.

“This latest innovation to Greenlight’s ad platform adapts ad text for the mobile environment without losing the meaning or impact of the ad,” said Greenlight Wireless President Mark Sieve. “This complex process provides content publishers and ad networks with high cost-per-click desktop ads that will both look and work great in the mobile environment.”

This new technology converts text-based online ads that may include both a headline and an abstract into a format that conforms to MMA standards, which allows for a maximum of two lines of 16 characters each. The dynamically adapted ad text retains its context and “clickability” and the conversion process takes place real-time at sub-second speeds. This display-reformatting system has applications outside the mobile space and can be used to transform ad text to meet many diverse specifications, such as language translation and other localization and network-related criteria.

The new ad reformatting technology is currently available through Greenlight’s Advertizer service, which is a converged ad network that provides both mobile and desktop ads through a single ad feed. Since its release in 2004, Advertizer has used proprietary technology to dynamically reformat ad landing pages created for the desktop environment in such a way that they load quickly and effectively on mobile devices. This latest advance allows Advertizer to fully mobilize desktop text-based ads from the initial presentation of the ad through to the click-through event.

Advertizer is now a registered trademark of Greenlight Wireless

We just received the certificate from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, so “Advertizer” is now officially a registered trademark of the Greenlight Wireless Corporation. The general consensus was that we would not be awarded the trademark for a number of reasons, so I’d like to acknowledge the hard work of our IP team at the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP for getting a positive result. Well done, everybody! Now if we can just get our patents through the system… ;-)

New Mobile Advertising Channel Off to Strong Start

Greenlight Wireless’ new “sponsored listings” advertising feed is providing relevant, high-yielding ads in the mobile environment.

IRVINE, Calif., May 23, 2007—Greenlight Wireless Corporation’s award-winning Advertizer service, which provides advertisements for desktop and mobile platforms, has experienced early success with its recently-released “sponsored listings” feed.

The sponsored listings program, released at the beginning of the month, is a “two-click” model where publishers create marketing copy that links to a dynamically-created landing page displaying the actual advertisements. The ads presented on this landing page are based on keywords that the publisher has assigned to the marketing copy being used.

The click-through rate (CTR) has fluctuated between 1.0% and 3.1% daily, while the average CTR on the Advertizer landing page has produced a remarkably high CTR of 44.1%. This statistic is likely due to a confluence of factors; however it confirms that Advertizer’s local, international, and vertically-categorized ads are relevant and highly “clickable”. As publishers learn to fine-tune the placement, layout, and content of their marketing messages, Greenlight Wireless anticipates the CTR to the landing pages will increase. Initial trials for the new feed were based on one to seven million searches daily with an average cost-per-click (CPC) of $0.37.

Advertizer is the world’s first internationally-consumed mobile advertising service, having served mobile ads in over 175 countries since its release in 2004. Advertizer works by retrieving ads based on keywords or other user input from multiple top-tier ad suppliers, then providing a single ad feed that works across diverse distribution channels, such as mobile and desktop. Advertizer Now Supplies a Mobile “Sponsored Listings” Feed

Greenlight Wireless’ Advertizer service allows publishers to use cut-and-paste code to provide desktop and mobile advertising.

IRVINE, Calif., May 9, 2007—Greenlight Wireless Corporation today announced that its Advertizer service, which provides advertisements for desktop and mobile environments, has a new “sponsored listings” offering.

Advertizer’s new sponsored listings service allows publishers to create keyword-based ad campaigns using cut-and-paste code to access a single ad feed that works in both the mobile and desktop environments. A sponsored listings feed differs from a traditional contextual ad feed by allowing a publisher to write marketing copy that links to a dynamically-created interstitial page, which displays the actual advertisements. These ads are based on keywords that the publisher has assigned to the marketing copy being used.

Advertizer was previously only provided through an Application Programming Interface (API) and used on high-traffic advertising networks and portals. This latest service allows our award-winning ad platform to be directly accessed by smaller publishers for the first time. A contextual ad feed, that will also utilize cut-and-paste integration, will be released in upcoming months to address increasing demand from publishers for access to Advertizer.

Advertizer works by retrieving ads based on keywords or other user input from multiple top-tier ad suppliers, then providing a single ad feed that works across diverse distribution channels, such as mobile and desktop. These ads can be provided in a variety of formats, including CPC, location-based, and click-to-call, and can be delivered via commonly-used systems, such as XML, HTML, and RSS.
