Why Skweezer is GREAT For Emerging Markets
For a while now, our Skweezer technology has been getting further and further embedded into emerging operator markets. Check out the stats from our 11/20 press release below.
Why? Why Skweezer… and why should anyone care?
Skweezer Is Turn-key
Without going into too much of a giant marketing diatribe, the simplicity of Greenlight Wireless’ business model makes it a no-brainer. Since EM operators have fewer resources to deploy a multitude of next-generation offerings, Skweezer private-label solution is an excellent way to provide search and mobile browsing to their users. With the private-label, Greenlight hosts the solution, customizes the interface, and shares revenue based on what’s used. All the operator has to do is get it in front of their users and promote it. Pretty simple. (We’ll throw in our mobile advertising, too, if they want to.)
Emerging Markets Are Demonstrating HUGE Potential
Growth in EMs is no mystery either. With the lack of fixed-line infrastructure, people in EMs are “trained” to use next-generation services from the get-go since their mobiles act as talking boxes, messaging tools, browsers, digital wallets, cameras, televisions, radios, etc. While the majority of Internet content is largely English-based, Skweezer’s translation tools give non-English speaking users the ability to consume English web content translated straight into their mobile. With 13 language-pair options, this provides tremendous value to operators since they don’t have to manage a localization process and instead leverage what’s already out there.
UPDATE: And this just in from our Customer Care…
I just can’t thank skweezer enough it saved me a lot of money since i no longer ran to internet cafés but surf websites on my cellphone. i introduced it to a couple of friends who can’t believe they can actually surf webpages on their cellphones, since here in namibia (yes, the country Angelina Jolie gave birth to her daughter) wireless technology is way behind, thanks very much skweezer.
